We are seeking a dedicated Applications Engineer to join our team, collaborating closely with both customers and internal colleagues to facilitate the quoting and sizing process for a range of fluid handling equipment. As an integral part of our team, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise and solutions that meet our customers' specific needs. Duties/Responsibilities Develop and maintain a working knowledge of fluid handling equipment which we manufacture. Generate accurate and detailed quotes for customers based on their specific requirements. Communicate effectively with customers to clarify details and address any inquiries related to the quotes. Act as a technical resource for end users, distributors, and sales team. Assist end users and distributors by troubleshooting issues and advising best practices. Follow all housekeeping procedures and comply with all quality and safety regulations. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Strong organizational aptitude and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work with technical and non-technical co-workers and collaborate in a team environment consisting of cross functional disciplines. Problem solving skills for determining solutions when problems arise. Ability to effectively multi-task, while maintaining deadlines. Comfortable communicating with customers over the phone and in-person on a regular basis. Preferred Skills Prior experience with positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps Familiarity with the principles of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps Experience quoting out of an ERP system (SAP, WorkWise) Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering 1-3 years related experience We offer a competitive salary with an excellent benefit package including a generous PTO policy, employer paid dental, vision and STD/LTD disability, life insurance and 90% employer paid health insurance, 401k with company match and profit-sharing eligibility after one year of employment.
