Millions of conversations begin here every week, across both sides of the marketplace. We own these experiences end to end, from the interface through the services behind it. Our front end is React and TypeScript, our mobile surfaces use React Native, and our services are Java. You will spend most of your time in product code, shaping interfaces people use every day. AI coding assistants are part of our everyday workflow, not a side experiment. You will use them to move faster and to raise the quality of what we ship. We test our work through experiments, read the results, and adjust. You will partner daily with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers.

• Responsibilities
• + Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software systems + Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate + Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high engineering standards + Own and support applications during business hours, ensuring system health and reliability + Use metrics, logging, and analytics to make data-informed decisions and improve system performance + Collaborate closely with partners across engineering, product, data science, and design to deliver solutions + Contribute to cross-team initiatives and support the growth of other engineers through mentorship and knowledge sharing •Skills/Competencies•+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience + Proficiency in TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React + Proficiency in one or more modern backend programming languages (e.

g., Java, Kotlin, or similar). + Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams. + Curiosity and a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
