Software Engineering Manager at MISO Energy in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States Job Description Description As MISO's Software Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for leading one or more teams to design, build, deliver, and operate software at scale. You will set the technical direction, own delivery across schedule, cost, scope, and quality, and drive modern software engineering practices. You'll champion AI-native and automation-first SDLC practices while ensuring alignment with engineering standards. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and Product Management to deliver high-value initiatives. Software Engineering Manager:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or four years of equivalent work experience) + Minimum of 5 years of technical experience and 3 years of management experience required (with 12 years technical and 5 years management experience preferred). + Demonstrated ability to lead multiple software engineering teams in a distributed workforce and manage vendor or staff augmentation resources + Experience overseeing fully outsourced teams, including vendor selection, onboarding, contract/SOW oversight, and performance management (preferred) + Thorough understanding of and software development methodologies + Strong experience with implementing AI-native software engineering tooling and workflows with a demonstrated ability to stay current with rapidly evolving AI technology + Strong experience in CI/CD and modern engineering ecosystems (e.g., GitHub), cloud-native architectures (e.g., Azure, Kubernetes), containerization, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) + Background in developing customer-facing applications, APIs, and real-time high-availability systems + Understanding of application security practices and secure software development lifecycle in a compliance-driven environment (e.g., NERC

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $157,000 - $182,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
