• About the Opportunity
• We are seeking an Engineering Manager who combines strong technical depth with hands-on development and people leadership.

You will lead a cross-functional engineering team responsible for building and evolving critical platform capabilities within the Accommodations Management ecosystem. This role is ideal for a leader who remains close to the code-contributing to design and development using TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and AWS-native services-while driving delivery, engineering quality, and team growth. You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, and other enterprise teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that align with broader platform strategy.

• In this role, you will:
• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team (30%)
• Manage and mentor a team of 5-8 engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development support
• Drive team health, engagement, and performance management processes
• _Drive hands-on technical leadership and delivery (50%)_
• _• Contribute directly to system design and hands-on development using TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and AWS services_•_• Lead end-to-end delivery of platform capabilities-from design through deployment and production support_•_• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, resilient, and observable_•_• Establish and enforce modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code quality standards_•_• Partner with architects and enterprise capability teams (Architecture, Security, Compliance) to align on technical direction_•_• Support adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML-enabled capabilities, where appropriate_•_Enable cross-team alignment and stakeholder engagement (20%)_•_• Partner with Product Owners to translate business needs into clear technical plans and execution strategies_•_• Manage dependencies across teams and systems within the broader platform ecosystem_•_• Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs to engineering and business stakeholders_•_• Contribute to roadmap planning and prioritization decisions_•_About You•

• _• 6-8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years managing engineering teams_•_• Strong hands-on development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)_•_• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS_•_• Proven ability to contribute to system design and architecture while actively coding_•_• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures_•_• Experience implementing modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security)_•_• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex, cross-functional delivery initiatives_•_• A thoughtful and proactive leadership style that supports continuous improvement and team engagement.
