OEC partners with many of the world's largest manufacturers, dealers and suppliers, shops and repairers, and service providers, giving our customers access to a comprehensive network and a streamlined workflow. About the Role We're looking for a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a full stack engineering team building high-quality, scalable software. You'll partner closely with product managers, designers, and technical leads to set clear priorities, guide sound technical decisions, and drive on-time delivery — all while building a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous growth. What You'll Do Lead and coach a team of full stack engineers, setting goals, providing feedback, and clearing roadblocks on complex or escalated issues Champion learning and career growth, supporting your team's upward mobility Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement Drive delivery across multiple initiatives, aligning engineering with product goals Partner with product managers to refine backlogs, clarify requirements, and prioritize work Ensure systems are secure, performant, testable, and observable Contribute to architecture and technical reviews with a focus on scalable design Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members, setting them up for success Partner with leadership to manage budget-aligned business expenses What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent experience considered) 10+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years managing engineering teams in an Agile environment
Backend:
.NET/C#, Kotlin or Java, API design, microservices, distributed systems
Frontend:
Angular, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, component-based UI development
AWS:
SQS, SNS, S3, EventBridge, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM Data stores: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, and NoSQL as needed
Messaging:
Kafka, event-driven architecture, async processing, pub/sub CI/CD, observability, automated testing, containers, Kubernetes or similar Strong communication, stakeholder management, and critical thinking skills A collaborative, adaptable leadership style that motivates teams through change Additional Requirements Must be willing to attend virtual meetings with camera on This is an onsite role based in
