Software Engineering ManagerSalary:
$150,000-$200,000
Hybrid Schedule:
Tues-Thurs (In-office)/Mon and Friday (Remote)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team building scalable, reliable services and integrations. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management and delivery ownership: you will shape system designs, drive code quality and deployment practices, and partner with product and operations to deliver secure, performant APIs and data flows on Microsoft Azure.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and grow a cross-functional engineering team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.

Own delivery and execution: prioritize work, remove blockers, set milestones, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.

Provide technical leadership for system design, architecture reviews, and complex problem solving across services, APIs, and data flows.

Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, source control workflows, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment configuration.

Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to define requirements, translate them into technical designs, and ensure reliable production operations.

Architect and oversee integrations with third-party platforms, ensuring secure, maintainable connector implementations.

Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment on Microsoft Azure, including containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

Champion observability, monitoring, incident response, and post-incident learning to improve system reliability and performance.

Hands-on contribution to the codebase when required, particularly in .NET / C# services and RESTful API design.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team.

QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.7+ years of professional software development experience with 2+ years in a managerial or team lead role.

Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem building RESTful APIs and backend services.

Proven experience designing and operating cloud-native systems on Microsoft Azure.

Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals: source code management (Git), system designs, data flows, deployment configuration, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Experience integrating with third-party platforms and services, including OAuth, webhooks, and API-based integrations.

Familiarity with deployment, monitoring, and incident management best practices.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Comfortable making trade-offs between speed, quality, scalability, and security; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Nice-to-have:
Azure certifications, experience with .NET Core, microservices architecture, and prior work in SaaS or platform products.
