Job Description

Description We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead application development and technology improvement initiatives for our organization in Frisco, Texas. This position oversees engineering delivery, application strategy, and modernization efforts while ensuring solutions support business priorities, security expectations, and regulatory obligations. The role also guides teams in adopting modern development approaches, including AI-enabled tools, to improve quality, efficiency, and long-term scalability.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct end-to-end delivery of custom software, system integrations, automation initiatives, and data-focused applications from planning through ongoing support.
  • Lead, coach, and develop software engineers and external partners while reinforcing strong technical discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and enforce standards for solution architecture, coding quality, testing practices, deployment processes, technical documentation, and production reliability.
  • Introduce and govern AI-assisted development capabilities with appropriate controls for security, compliance, accuracy, and human review.
  • Manage project priorities, release timelines, enhancement pipelines, budgets, and vendor performance to keep delivery aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with business leaders, infrastructure teams, security stakeholders, compliance groups, and third-party providers to deliver practical and measurable technology outcomes.
  • Drive application modernization, cloud-connected solutions, platform improvements, and workflow automation initiatives across the software portfolio.
  • Track software performance, delivery effectiveness, quality indicators, and development productivity metrics to identify risks and advance operational excellence. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in software development, application delivery, or systems integration within enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading developers, technical teams, or external technology partners.
  • Strong knowledge of software delivery methods, DevOps and CI/CD practices, source control, automated testing, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with full-stack development using technologies such as React, Angular, JavaScript, .NET, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Background supporting and connecting enterprise business applications in complex operational settings.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled software development tools and the governance practices needed to use them responsibly.
  • Preferred experience in services requiring strong attention to detail, financial services, or other regulated industries, along with exposure to Azure, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Agile delivery, or low-code platforms.
