Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Validation Engineer to lead validation efforts for next-generation computer server platforms. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of server hardware through rigorous testing and analysis.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):- Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for server hardware including CPU, memory, storage, networking, and power subsystems
- Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools to streamline validation processes.
- Perform Signal Integrity, stress and interoperability testing
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and collaborate with design and firmware teams to resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Document validation procedures, test cases, and results for internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in hardware validation, preferably in server or data center environments
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, server components, and system-level interactions
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) for test automation
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and thermal chambers
- Familiarity with industry standards (PCIe, DDR, NVMe, Ethernet, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills Salary Range $115,000 - $135,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
