Simple Terms:
Run video test. if video wrong have to troubleshoot using signal generator, signal analyzer, oscilloscope, spectum analyzer, etc to pull the schematic and see whats wrong. Some of it we can have a meeting to see what behavior was found and decide how to program it or test it Hook up device to testing fixture Troubleshoot problem (don't need to do root cause, but need to dig into products) Conduct tests (not simulations) using tools such as encoders, decoders, signal generators, monitors, etc Check DC power, analyze issue, report findings, and work with team to solve Generate test reports They will test hardware and software Reworking PCB if there's an issue found during testing (which is the reason soldering is a nice to have as it would be required to do the rework. Need to be able to say to technician or EE "solder this and move resistor here" Multiple automation consoles there and can do all work but need to ppl to look at board and run testing so can't be pure embedded software people Test itself could be automated, but person will hook it up by himself;
EX:
I have an encoder, decoder, and fiber and person needs to set it up and then run the script (only portion of it), see result, and do the configuration

Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong Nice-to-have Skills:
Experience programming in Python for basic automation to configure tool Experience conducting network testing, interfacing with things such as fiber, Ethernet, etc. 7-10+ years of experience Hardware testing at the board level Soldering experience Experience using tools such as digital analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $56.00 - $85.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
