Job Description

Test Engineer Kratos Space Training & Cyber United States, Colorado, Boulder May 05, 2026 Readiness Delivered. Kratos is a leader in assured aerospace communication solutions and services. Kratos is seekingiSystems Integration Test Engineers for a large space ground system program. This role is responsible for testing enterprise software applications deployed on the FORGE Mission Data Processing Application Framework (MDPAF) and integrated with Kratos OpenSpace OpsCenter platform. The engineer will develop and execute formal test documentation, support requirements verification, participate in operational test events, and implement automated testing solutions to ensure mission readiness. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Develop test plans, test cases, and detailed test procedures for applications deployed on FORGE MDPAF and integrated with Kratos OpenSpace OpsCenter. Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance test procedures. Verify software and system requirements during contractor-led test events. Draft formal test reports and document discrepancies; track issues to resolution. Participate in system validation and operational test activities. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python or other programming languages. Collaborate with developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders to ensure compliance with Space Force standards and mission objectives.

Required Experience:
Software testing background Understanding of DevSecOps Self-motivated and capable of working independently and with others Ability to articulate technical concepts orally and in written form Experience developing formal test documentation (plans, procedures, reports) Proficiency in Python or other programming languages for test automation Proficiency with Linux operating system Familiarity with enterprise, cloud-based, or containerized architectures Current Secret level clearance required Bacheloris degree in STEM fields 2-5+ years of experience in software or system testing within DoD or mission-critical environments Preferred Skills and Experience Background in space ground systems, mission processing, or command-and-control systems Experience with
FORGE MDPAF

Salary Range:
