DexaFit Denver is looking for a motivated, energetic Health & Fitness Testing Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in health, fitness, body composition, and performance testing. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in exercise science, kinesiology, nutrition, health sciences, sports performance, or fitness who wants to work directly with clients and learn how advanced testing can help people better understand and improve their health. What You'll Do As an intern, you will be trained to assist with and perform our three core testing services:
- DEXA Body Composition Scan — assess body fat, lean mass, and bone mineral density
- Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Test — measure resting energy expenditure and help clients understand their metabolism
- VO₂ Max Fitness Test — assess cardiovascular fitness and aerobic capacity You will also:
- Welcome and communicate with clients in a professional, friendly manner
- Explain testing procedures and prepare clients for their assessments
- Operate testing equipment according to established protocols and safety procedures
- Collect and accurately document client data
- Help clients understand their test results at a high level
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional testing environment
- Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations
- Support day-to-day studio operations and client experience
- Assist the team with scheduling and other studio responsibilities when needed Training You don't need to be an expert when you start.
We will train the right candidate on all three testing protocols and equipment. The goal is for you to become confident and capable of independently performing:

- An individual who is currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Health Sciences, Sports Medicine, or a related field
- Passionate about health, fitness, and human performance
- Comfortable working directly with clients
- Professional, personable, and confident communicating with people
- Detail-oriented and comfortable following technical protocols
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working with technology and specialized testing equipment
- Able to work in a client-facing environment Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or experience in exercise physiology, anatomy, physiology, or related fields
- Previous experience in a fitness, healthcare, sports performance, or wellness environment
- CPR/AED certification
