Job Description:
Role Summary We are looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer to develop and maintain automated testing solutions, execute quality assurance activities, and ensure software applications meet functional, integration, and performance requirements. This position will be a full-time contract and onsite in Newark, DE. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and quality assurance team members to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases Execute automated and manual testing cycles and document test results Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot test execution failures Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, story refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives Maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and testing procedures Monitor and report on test coverage, quality metrics, and overall testing progress Support quality assurance best practices and contribute to continuous process improvements Work closely with project teams to ensure software releases meet established quality standards
Required:
3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks Experience developing automated test scripts using common scripting or programming languages Experience with defect tracking and test case management tools Experience executing functional, regression, integration, and system testing Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development methodologies Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work onsite in Delaware as required by the client
Preferred:
Experience testing robotics, embedded systems, or hardware-integrated software solutions Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines Experience with version control systems Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Experience working within highly collaborative software development environments Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
