Department Overview The ASTRO Device Software Test Team is responsible for Box Level testing the software running in our mission critical life-saving devices that first responders and the people they serve depend on every minute of every day. Our testing constitutes the last layer of testing before the products are released to the field, our mission is to ensure that the products meet the requirements and related quality level before they are released into the field. Job Description Looking for a self motivated, result oriented Tester to play a major role in the quality assurance of our software development. This involves analysis of product requirements and executing corresponding test cases to ensure that those requirements are met. The manual tester will execute test cases in order to detect and prevent issues from escaping into the field. This individual is expected to be familiar with various coding languages.
Responsibilities include:
Understand product requirements and matching test cases Setup Test Environment, consisting of: system, hardware, and software components Execute test cases, analyze results and report all detected issues/defects Track reported issues/defects Collaborate with other team members and test managers. Keep abreast of industry standards and newest testing methodologies and tools Support the Test Manager in achieving their strategic goals for the Test Team Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other business functions Assist in troubleshooting customer reported issues
Qualifications:
A.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance testing or similar role Working Knowledge of test management SW (e.g. ALM) Attention to detail Computer Science Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing Familiarity with with various coding languages Experience working in Agile Scrum teams Basic Requirements A.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance testing or similar role Travel Requirements None Relocation Provided None Position Type Experienced Referral Payment Plan Yes Our U.S.
