Job Description
We are looking for a Software QA Analyst to join an Agile team in Florida, where quality is treated as a shared responsibility throughout the development lifecycle. This role is ideal for a testing specialist who can independently plan and execute validation activities, investigate issues thoroughly, and work closely with business analysts, developers, and client stakeholders. The position focuses on both manual and automated testing while helping ensure requirements are testable, releases are stable, and defect resolution stays on track.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed test scenarios and test cases based on business needs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform manual testing across multiple sprint deliverables while maintaining clear visibility into progress, risks, and priorities.
- Run and support automated test coverage using Selenium and related QA tools to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Document defects with precise reproduction steps, supporting evidence, impact details, and environment information so issues can be resolved quickly.
- Re-test resolved issues and complete regression validation to confirm changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
- Take an active role in Agile ceremonies by contributing testing insight during daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
- Partner with business analysts and developers to review requirements early, identify gaps in testability, and reduce downstream rework.
- Assist with release readiness activities, including pre-deployment coordination and post-release smoke testing.
- Support client-facing testing efforts by guiding users through validation activities, helping triage reported issues, and coordinating next steps for resolution.
- Contribute ideas that strengthen QA practices, improve team standards, and enhance overall product quality.
