Remote Our client seeks a QA Database Tester to support delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role requires strong database testing experience, proficiency with complex SQL , and experience with test automation. The tester will collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to validate that applications meet business and technical requirements through comprehensive testing practices. This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate:
$40.00 to $45.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with team members to define, develop, and execute test strategies for new and existing applications.
+ Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases based on user stories and business requirements.
+ Validate database functionality and data integrity using advanced SQL queries.
+ Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
+ Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAP -based testing platforms.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into the software development lifecycle.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for testing processes, automation, and quality standards.
Experience Requirements:
+ 3+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Quality Assurance and Testing.
+ Experience creating and maintaining automated tests.
+ Strong SQL /database testing skills, including the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries.
+ Experience with Snowflake and/or DB2 databases.
+ Experience performing API testing using Postman, SOAP , or similar tools.
+ Knowledge of scripting languages used for test automation.
+ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
