Overview We are seeking a full-time Quality Analyst 2 in our Yarmouth, ME location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership of quality assurance activities for complex features within Garmin products and software. Our team focuses on backend services spanning all Garmin segments. We support live systems in a continuous development environment. Must live in Maine to be considered. Essential Functions Demonstrate the role of quality assurance in each phase of the software development life cycle and demonstrate knowledge of Garmin product specifications, capabilities, and operation related to the supported market segment Design test plans, scenarios, scripts and/or procedures of moderate-to-significant complexity, in accordance with established Garmin test procedures Serve as the voice of the customer in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems Demonstrate ability to conduct usability tests and effectively communicate results Verify software modifications in new software versions to prepare for implementation Document and report defects; perform analysis and determine reproducibility Perform system analysis techniques and procedures to determine software functional specifications for Garmin products Investigate and verify issues reported to quality assurance by other Garmin teams Work with product/billing support teams to identify customer-facing issues and use feedback to inform the testing process Work with other quality assurance associates and developers to manage release deployments Troubleshoot issues in lower development environments blocking the deployment pipeline Provide feedback to design and development communities to help improve the quality of deliverables Communicate project status to internal customers, product owners, and management Proactively identify gaps in process and provide effective suggestions to improve test coverage Define, document, and implement new process improvements Effectively collaborate with teams split across multiple sites and time zones Train and mentor new quality assurance associates Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree OR a minimum of 4 years equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Relevant experience or training in product and/or software quality assurance processes and methodologies Must possess superior organizational/analytical skills, be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, can work independently with minimal supervision, and can exercise sound independent judgment Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Desired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Previous experience testing and developing/analyzing tests related to a Garmin core product market Relevant experience or training in creating test plans, conducting usability test, and/or writing test scripts Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
