Job Description

A staff position in the Information Technology organization serving as a quality assurance relationship manager to one or more business units and the SAP team. The Quality Assurance Analyst has a basic understanding of the business processes they support as well as the technology behind them. The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our SAP processes through rigorous testing and validation processes. They will work with the business, the testing team, and Business Analysts to develop and execute SAP test plans as well as build test cases and test scripts. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Application) or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years' experience in IT or related business function. 2-5 years' experience working with Tricentis or WorkSoft 1-4 years' experience in the below a plus: System configuration for their specified SAP modules Experience using software development life cycle (SDLC) including gathering requirements, design, development/configuration, unit testing and integration testing, training, and ongoing support. Ability to work with business users to understand their process and create process and testing documentation. Utilize various methods (interviews, workshops, observation) to capture details for the documentation. Applying project management principles to organize, track, and complete tasks Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills Experience with
SAP ECC 6.0
system releases is preferred. S4 experience a plus. Experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus. Knowledge of cross-functional integration between system functional modules is a strong plus.
Quality Assurance Analyst Responsibilities:
Primary activities performed include the following: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Identify, document, and track defects using [e.g., JIRA, Cloud ALM (CALM), qTest]]. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback. Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure quality standards are met. Automate testing processes where applicable, using tools like [e.g. Tricentis]. Maintain test documentation and create reports on testing outcomes and quality metrics. Continuously improve testing processes and practices. Works with team leadership to organize and implement work assignments. Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Consult with management regarding problems or situations outside the scope of your authority if necessary. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned. Ergon is an EEO/AAP Employer.
