Charlotte North Carolina (Hybrid-3 days onsite and 2 days Remote) Software Engineer•Test Automation, You will: 1. Functional Test Automation Enablement & Impediment Resolution Act as a senior technical enablement resource to triage, analyze, and resolve automation issues impacting LOB teams. Partner with LOB Single Points of Contact (SPOCs) to: Diagnose systemic automation challenges. Recommend compliant patterns and configurations aligned with enterprise standards. Drive resolution across tooling, pipelines, frameworks, and execution models. Identify recurring impediments and feed actionable insights into enablement materials, standards, and platform improvements. 2. Level 3 (L3) Support via Office Hours & Escalation Channels Serve as L3 technical support during established office hours and enterprise chat channels. Handle escalations beyond L1/L2 capabilities, including: Complex framework behavior. CI/CD integration issues. Non-obvious test execution failures. Deliver timely, high-quality responses to unblock teams and reduce downstream risk. 3. Support for Niche, Edge Case, and Non-Standard Applications Provide targeted enablement for applications outside mainstream enterprise tooling. Support legacy platforms, atypical architectures, and constrained environments. Collaborate with product teams to: Document viable patterns for non-standard use cases. Identify exceptions or enhancements required. Escalate gaps needing platform or tooling changes. 4. Development & Publication of Test Development Standards Create and maintain enterprise functional test development standards covering: Repository and GitHub structure conventions. CI/CD pipeline configuration patterns. Test tagging, execution strategies, and results management. Environment-aware configuration and data handling practices. Ensure standards are practical, reusable, and adoption-oriented, iterating based on real-world usage. 5. Knowledge Assets & Enablement Content Produce and maintain enablement artifacts such as: Reference implementations. Troubleshooting guides for common and advanced issues. Decision guides for framework, pipeline, and execution choices. Align published guidance with supported tooling and roadmap direction. Out of Scope Direct feature development within application delivery teams. Acting as embedded sprint capacity or side programming resource. Ownership of application-specific test delivery or execution. Expected Outcomes Reduced escalations and faster resolution cycle times. Improved consistency in test framework usage and CI/CD integration. Increased supportability for non-standard and edge case applications. Clear, consumable standards that scale enterprise adoption. Tangible reduction in delivery risk related to automation failures. The ideal candidate will have: Experience in test automation enablement, QA engineering, or related technical roles. Experience in functional test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise automation tooling. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical impediments across diverse environments. PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS
Pay Range:
$60/hr to $65/hr •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
