Software Test Engineer

Software Test Engineer Job Description The Software Test Engineer will support system-level software integration within a laboratory environment. This role entails executing requirement-driven manual and automated integration testing, supporting software loading and lab operations, and troubleshooting distributed software components within pub/sub architectures. The position requires hands-on engagement with live systems, gray-box analysis of production code, and the development of integration support tools in a configuration-controlled environment. Responsibilities Execute requirement-driven manual and automated integration testing. Support software loading and lab operations. Troubleshoot distributed software components within pub/sub architectures. Engage hands-on with live systems for gray-box analysis of production code. Develop integration support tools within a configuration-controlled environment. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. 2-4 years of experience with software test and integration. Proficiency in reading and modifying C++ code. Experience in setting up and executing test procedures in a Linux environment. Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages. Ability to interpret and analyze requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications U.S. citizenship with an active or recent DoD security clearance.

Ability to read and analyze production software code written in C/C++, or similar languages to support integration troubleshooting and gray-box validation.
