Job Description
There's a big difference between designing an automation system and being the person standing in the field when it has to work. You'll be part of the team commissioning a new power and energy facility in Bowling Green, troubleshooting PLCs, DCS, SCADA and HMI systems as construction turns into startup and startup turns into an operating facility. You'll be the technical problem-solver in the field. You'll help develop and execute commissioning plans and automation test protocols, support FAT/SAT activities, validate startup and shutdown logic, manage alarm and SCADA integration, and troubleshoot real-time
PLC/DCS/HMI
issues during energization. You'll work across Engineering, Construction, Operations, and OEM teams to find integration problems, develop corrective actions, close punch-list items, and make sure the systems being turned over actually perform the way they were designed. What you get is $60-$70/hour , plus $230/day per diem when applicable ($150 lodging + $80 food). The schedule is 12-hour shifts on a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation , giving you a predictable block of time off between commissioning pushes. You'll also get exposure to power generation, BESS, substations, cybersecurity, industrial communications, and system-level commissioning, the kind of experience that can make your next project more valuable than your last. You're the person we want to talk to if you have 8+ years in industrial automation, power, energy infrastructure, or commissioning and can move comfortably between PLCs, DCS, SCADA, HMIs, and field troubleshooting. If you've worked with AssetCentre, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, FAT/SAT, or power-generation/BESS systems, even better. Want to know what systems you'll be commissioning and what the project looks like? Reach out. We'll give you the details before you decide anything.
