Job Overview:

The candidate will serve in an operational, service, consultancy, or support role within a mainframe operations environment. Key responsibilities include managing z/OS automation migration projects, writing REXX scripts, utilizing TSO, ISPF, and JCL, and working with NetView and System Automation software across mainframe systems. Possess 5+ years of experience working in a mainframe operations environment providing an operational, service, consultancy, or support role. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to use TSO and ISPF. Possess strong JCL skills. Ability to write REXX and maintain working knowledge of the System Automation Policy Database (PDB). Experience with z/OS Automation Migration Projects. Experience implementing and using products such as NetView for z/OS, System Automation for z/OS, and CA OPS/MVS, with a desire to expand skills to cover additional tools.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

Knowledge of other Z software, including system operation, configuration and automation, z/OS system startup and shutdown, and SMP/E. Knowledge of products that compete against primary IBM mainframe automation offerings. Experience with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z. == ==
