Job Description Responsibilities Technical Responsibilities:
Test Strategy Development:
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing environments for complex systems or software. Create automated testing frameworks to reduce manual testing effort and increase efficiency.
Test Execution Management:
Lead the execution of functional, performance, regression, integration, and system-level testing. Identify areas for improvement in testing workflows and optimize test processes.
Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze testing results and identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Generate detailed test reports that provide actionable insights for product development teams. Collaborate with system integration engineers and developers to resolve defects.
Tool Development and Implementation:
Develop or extend internal tools to facilitate advanced testing techniques, such as automated testing, stress testing, fault injection, and reliability testing. Evaluate emerging testing tools and techniques; recommend their adoption when appropriate.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure final product adherence to industry, regulatory, and contractual standards (e.g., ISO, MIL-STD, DO-178C, etc.). Participate in audits and reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of testing documentation.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
BS 8-10, MS
6-8, PhD 3-5 Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) are preferred but not mandatory, depending on project complexity.
Experience:
Technical Knowledge:
Extensive experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium) and frameworks. Expertise in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or MATLAB for system-level testing. Familiarity with debugging tools, diagnostic equipment, and simulation engines. Knowledge of databases, network protocols, embedded systems, or cloud infrastructures depending on domain. Thorough understanding of testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Test-Driven Development, DevOps).
Systems Expertise:
Deep expertise in systems integration and requirements verification for large-scale, complex systems. Previous experience with lifecycle testing in defense, aerospace, healthcare, telecommunications, or automotive domains, depending on hiring industry.
Leadership:
Experience leading test teams or coordinating cross-functional activities for large projects.
Clearance:
Must Posess a Secret Clearance Equal Pay Act This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
