JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Test Engineer to support cloud systems verification, validation, and testing activities within a federal cloud operations environment. This role focuses on ensuring system functionality and performance across cloud-based systems, supporting testing efforts across distributed environments, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes. Key Responsibilities

• Perform verification and validation activities across cloud-based systems
• Execute functional testing, timeline analysis, and trade studies
• Support requirements allocation and interface definition for hardware and software systems
• Analyze system performance and functionality to identify issues and improvements
• Utilize system metrics and trends to improve testing processes and frameworks
• Develop and execute test plans and validation procedures
• Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams to support system integration and testing
• Identify and document defects and support resolution activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies Required Qualifications
• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in testing, QA, or systems engineering
• Experience supporting system testing and validation activities
• Strong understanding of system functionality and troubleshooting Certifications
• DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
• One or more cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud) Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting federal or defense programs
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems and distributed environments
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
• Experience analyzing system performance and operational metrics
