Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst - Advanced to support its Systems Applications Integration and Development team. The QA Analyst will serve as a system testing specialist supporting SCDHHS enrollment and eligibility systems, document management, workflows, Medicaid enrollment, eligibility, claims processing, and related subsystems. This role will be responsible for translating business requirements and policy documentation into comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and automated testing solutions. The analyst will also evaluate implemented solutions, identify defects and improvement opportunities, and ensure projects follow established QA governance, testing standards, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports . Translate business requirements, policy documentation, and use cases into detailed testing scenarios. Design and develop test automation scripts using established test automation guidelines. Perform functional, regression, smoke, system integration, end-to-end, negative, usability, and user acceptance testing . Use Sahi Pro/Selenium Automation Framework to develop and execute automated testing. Identify, document, track, and manage software defects through resolution. Maintain defect databases and provide clear status reporting on open issues, gaps, risks, and testing outcomes. Perform formal test design using techniques such as Equivalence Class Partitioning and Pairwise Analysis . Utilize test design tools such as PICT or equivalent orthogonal-array-based testing tools. Review requirements, test plans, test scripts, test results, and test reports for completeness and quality. Provide QA oversight and approval of vendor unit and system integration test plans and results. Participate in walkthroughs, inspections, quality assessments, and testing reviews. Evaluate applications for reliability, stability, security vulnerabilities, defects, and optimization opportunities. Ensure projects comply with established software testing governance, QA processes, standards, and best practices . Collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, technical resources, business stakeholders, and leadership to resolve defects and testing issues. Monitor testing progress against established targets and escalate impediments or exceptions as necessary. Document feedback and communicate testing results, risks, defects, and recommendations to management and development teams. Recommend improvements to testing processes, applications, and overall quality practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Technical, Business, Healthcare, or related field , OR 5+ years of equivalent Quality Assurance experience. 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control. 5+ years of experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios. 3+ years of experience with Sahi Pro/Selenium Automation Framework. Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated test scripts . Working knowledge of at least one of the following process areas:
SPICE TPI TMMI CMMI OPF CMMI OPD CMMI PPQA
Hands-on experience with formal test design techniques, including: Equivalence Class Partitioning Pairwise Analysis Experience with PICT or equivalent orthogonal-based test design tools . Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong English communication skills, including the ability to document requirements, use cases, test scenarios, and testing outcomes. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience with large enterprise or e-business systems. 3+ years of Medicaid or healthcare experience. Strong understanding of healthcare operations and business processes, preferably Medicaid . Experience with X12 standards andHIPAA EDI
transactions . Proficiency with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence .Experience working within both:
Waterfall SDLC Agile delivery methodologies Healthcare / Medicaid Environment Experience supporting complex healthcare technology environments is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work with systems supporting areas such as: Medicaid enrollment Member eligibility Claims processing Document management Business workflows Healthcare-related subsystems Enterprise application integration Candidate Requirements Candidate must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to South Carolina before starting , at their own expense. This position is fully onsite, 5 days per week in Columbia, SC. Experienced, non-manager level professional. Must be able to successfully complete required security and employment validations. The organization is supporting major enterprise technology initiatives involving Medicaid management, enrollment, eligibility, and related systems.
