THE ROLE
We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. You will be responsible for building quality into development by partnering directly with game teams to prevent defects before they reach integration, milestone validation, or release testing.
WHO YOU ARE
You have experience with various platforms and associated SDK's. You have experience working directly with engineers and designers during feature development. You are comfortable identifying technical issues and performing root-cause analysis. You have excellent attention to detail. You are relentless about tracking down and documenting issues. You understand how automation can improve quality and development efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Embed directly with development feature teams Perform root-cause analysis and partner with engineers on fixes Use Unreal/PIE, source control, automation, and development tools Validate shelves/changelists before they reach client builds Audit feature scope and quality risk before work is committed Build automation and regression coverage Serve as the quality owner for assigned gameplay systems, strike teams, or feature areas, providing risk assessment, testing strategy, automation coverage, and quality guidance throughout development. Identify, communicate, and escalate quality, planning, and testing risks that could impact sprint commitments or feature stability. Participate in planning, sprint rituals, and feature reviews Write and maintain test strategies, specs, and coverage plans Ensure deliverables have sufficient time for testing and bug fixing within a sprint Verify functionality of telemetry, achievements, SDKs, and platform integrations. Manage quality risks and provide mitigation plans. Creation and review of Test Plans, Test Specs and Test Suites. Maintain a strong culture of quality and mutual respect with partner development teams. Use discretion when working with confidential, proprietary information between groups. Coordinate quality strategy, testing approaches, and coverage plans for assigned feature areas throughout development. Implement testing policies, procedures, and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong experience testing AAA console and PC games. Ability to gather and communicate facts in a clear and professional manner. Effectively communicate through good written and verbal communication skills. Experience executing test cases and suites using test case management systems. Experience working directly with game development. Minimum 3 years' experience working on PC and Console games.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience working with the Unreal Engine and PIE. Experience in executing test cases and suites using test case management systems. Experience with coding languages. Compensation:
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position . The full salary range for this position is $66,000 - $93,000 per year. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
