Secret Job Summary:
Amentum is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mid-Level Software Test Engineer to support the SOA C3 application testing mission. In this role, you will perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across complex software modules that directly support warfighter readiness. You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and Agile team members to identify defects, validate software fixes, refine requirements, and ensure high-quality software delivery. Leveraging your experience with C#, ASP.NET, Blazor, Kubernetes, and containerized environments, you will help evaluate system behavior and maintain traceability throughout the development lifecycle. Amentum is seeking a test engineer who brings strong analytical skills, solid testing fundamentals, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic Agile environment. Prior familiarity with ISDS applications is highly valued, as is a commitment to continuously improving testing processes and outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform functional and regression testing. Develop test cases and scripts. Log defects and collaborate with developers. Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation habits. Strong analytical ability to troubleshoot complex defects. Effective communicator able to collaborate with developers and analysts. Comfortable interpreting and validating requirements/user stories. Ability to contribute to test automation.
Minimum Requirements:
Active Secret US government security clearance.
Note:
US citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance. 3+ years software testing. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
ISDS testing experience. ISTQB certification. Experience creating test plans and traceability matrices. Strong understanding of Agile testing processes.
Compensation Details:
$85,000 - $110,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
