Quality Assurance Tester

Duties Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans based on detailed business requirements and specifications. Conduct functional, system, regression, performance, load, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software quality across multiple platforms such as Android, iOS, and web applications. Utilize test automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and Appium to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Perform API testing using RESTful APIs with tools like Postman or SoapUI; analyze API responses for correctness and performance. Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts during requirements gathering to identify potential issues early in the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Use version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or SVN to manage test scripts and track changes effectively. Analyze root causes of defects through debugging and troubleshooting techniques; document issues clearly for swift resolution. Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps to automate testing workflows. Conduct mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices; verify compatibility across different operating systems and device types. Perform database validation using SQL or PL/SQL queries on systems like MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server to ensure data integrity. Participate in release management activities by validating new features before deployment; assist in system testing and user acceptance testing phases. Requirements Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks including Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar tools. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, Bash (Unix shell), or C# for creating automated tests. Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats, and API testing tools. Familiarity with mobile testing on Android and iOS platforms using Appium or similar frameworks. Experience working with version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab or SVN; knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps is a plus. Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation using MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle databases. Excellent understanding of QA/QC processes including functional testing, system testing, performance testing (LoadRunner), and user acceptance testing (UAT). Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), web services (REST/SOAP), cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams; detail-oriented with a passion for quality assurance excellence.
