A Statistician collects and analyzes data using the principles of statistics, for work in science, psychology, politics, marketing and manufacturing. Analyzes data and makes policy recommendations to government agencies that address economic, environmental and public health issues.
As a postdoctoral research associate, you will be expected to participate fully in the intellectual and social life of the department, contribute to our lecture programs and colloquia, and develop your own research projects. Your duties will include conducting research in statistics and data science and teaching one course during the academic year. We plan that your primary faculty mentors will be Professor Likai Chen and Professor Xiaofeng Shao. During this appointment you are encouraged to participate in career development activities. Required Qualifications Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.
