Job Description
Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Portfolio Manager with a major corporation in Burbank, CA. 4 days per week on-site, Friday remote. 19+ month contract
Pay Rate:
$80- $83/hr
DOE Must Haves:
Must be able to deal with multiple opinions and be able to influence without authority. Must be able to pivot direction quickly. May be working on one project and it gets shifted to another- must be able to handle and work with ambiguity. Critical/analytical thinking is key Will be taking Clarity data and analyzing it
- using visualization tools
- looking at metrics for HR Products (dealing with every dept under Enterprise tech) Must have portfolio management /project management experience This will be a lot of backend work, less front facing. HR program tech experience is a bonus Banking and/or healthcare experience/background would not be a good fit Excel experience
Guru Description :
Portfolio Manager role provides strategic and tactical support for creating and sustaining effective technology business demand and resource management processes across Enterprise Technology. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for providing analysis, planning support and data insights to align service and products to project, program, resource, and application portfolios. You will collaborate with teammates, leaders, and stakeholders from Technology, business and finance to ensure alignment with organizational strategies and business outcomes. The position requires interaction with cross-functional departments, collaboration across other technology portfolios, and excellent verbal and written communication and relationship management skills.Basic Qualifications:
Responsible for supporting all aspects of technology portfolio management including project ideation, scoping, prioritization, approval and activation; as well as service/product/application cost transparency support within Enterprise Technology May conduct ongoing portfolio review meetings with executives to establish a prioritized portfolio Define, establish, and implement enhancements to portfolio process definition, procedural documentation, tool requirements and end user training- update processes Develop and foster relationships and engagement models with Enterprise Technology leaders, PMO, service/product/application owners, and external partners Exercise critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail Collaborate, analysing portfolio data and deliver portfolio metrics and analytic reporting with Portfolio and Business Operations Analysts Drive and own completion of special projects (up to 10%) Deliver on ad-hoc requests as required (up to 10%)
Qualifications:
5+ years combined IT experience in portfolio, demand, or operational finance strongly preferred Bachelor's Degree in a related field Experience supporting a large technology portfolio of project and operational costs with multiple business stakeholders Demonstrable work experience with reporting and analytics. Visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel visualizations)- Nice to have skill set Demonstrable experience with a PPM tool (e.g., Clarity, Planview, Align) preferred Ability to present materials to management to drive decision making
- PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization Exhibits critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment with consistent change Must be proficient in Microsoft Office online and collaboration tools

Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications desired: Portfolio Management- Professional (PfMP) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- preferred Resource Management experience is a plus AI experience is a plus
