Tecolote Research Inc. is seeking candidates for the role of Space Systems Cost Analyst to support planning and developing of cost estimates on a wide variety Department of Defense (DoD) space programs. Projects include satellite development, ground systems, and launch systems.
Responsibilities As a member of a cost estimating team, the Space Systems Cost Analyst will: Work with program management, engineers and technical analysts to identify program requirements, acquisition approach, and associated risks and then develop cost models to support budget requests and inquiries.
Will evaluate historical program data, perform detailed statistical analysis, and develop predictive methodologies to capture both well understood and newly emerging, cutting edge technologies.
A combination of statistical, mathematics, technical/engineering and strategic thinking skillsets is a plus.
Salary Range:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00/Year, DOE
Skills Required
BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related technical field preferred
2-5 years of experience required
DoD acquisition and/or Aerospace experience a plus
Data analytics experience working with both small and large data sets to identify trends and predictive measures
Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint working with large data sets and presenting analysis
Able to work independently to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
Excellent communicator with an ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical, analytical, and statistical concepts to all levels of program management
Energetic, self-motivated, team player who is able to work both independently and with groups in a fast- paced environment
Proactive and eager to learn new processes, concepts, tools, and techniques that offer value to our customers
Experience with data analytics and statistics software a plus (Tableau, MS Power BI, ACEIT, R, Python, etc.)
U.S. Citizen
Top Secret / SCI eligibility required Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
