Full Time- Contract Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Prototype Analyst to join our team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, validating, and maintaining Master Parts Lists (MPLs) and managing engineering changes across prototype vehicle builds. You will serve as the primary bridge between Prototype Engineering, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Operations to ensure data accuracy, manage part shortages, and maintain seamless system alignment throughout the prototype build lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities MPL Management & Validation:
Build, validate, and maintain Master Parts Lists (MPLs) for prototype builds; perform regular BOM-to-MPL alignment checks and integrate process-related data in collaboration with Prototype Engineering.
Change Management & System Alignment:
Process, approve, and execute Change Management (CM) tickets; debug and correlate data transfers between PLM/ERP platforms; maintain continuous alignment with warehouse teams on part availability.
Build & Production Support:
Active participation in part shortage meetings, deviation reviews, and Change Review Boards (CRBs) to deliver clear status reporting and integrate immediate design/build changes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Management, or a related field. Direct experience managing Bill of Materials (BOM) and Master Parts Lists (MPL) in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Solid understanding of Product Data Management (PDM), engineering change processes, and data analysis tools. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong cross-functional communication and proactive problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in EV or automotive prototype development environments. Exposure to vehicle architectures (specifically electrical systems and wiring harnesses). Hands-on experience with PLM and ERP/MRP systems.
Pay:
$34.00 - $44.00 per hour
