DEPARTMENT
The Town of Castle Rock's Division of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) plans and maintains the Town's information systems. Employees in this division are dedicated to improving business processes and prioritizing technical projects according to the Town's strategy and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in initiating a Town-Wide PC Replacement Program. Work with customers in every department Town-Wide. Throughout the PC Replacement Program project will work both in a team environment - contributing to planning the deployment process and independently installing hardware and supporting users on-site in different departments. Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Education:
Associate's Degree or Vocational/Technical Degree - or degree-in-progress - with training emphasis in computer systems.
Experience:
 Previous experience and/or training involving imaging of PC's, Apple IOS devices, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Products; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Licenses and/or
Certifications Required:
A valid driver's license
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of PC Hardware, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft operating systems, imaging, and basic networking skills. Knowledge of Windows 11, M365, printer setup, Lenovo laptops and peripherals. Ability to communicate and answer questions from non-technical staff on how to use hardware and software solutions. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, track, and report and resolve issues with a demonstrated skill in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary work for long periods of time Ability to lift or carry objects and materials of 20-40 pounds Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens

Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment
Equipment Used:
This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment Must successfully pass criminal background investigation and fingerprinting prior to employment.
