full-time Red Oak Technologies is a leading provider of comprehensive resourcing solutions across a variety of industries and sectors including IT, Marketing, Finance, Business Operations, Manufacturing and Engineering. Our client is in the oil and gas sector. They are looking for a Systems Analyst - Technical Applications to join their team. This role is a Direct Hire / Permanent / Full Time position. Position will be ONSITE . Candidate must be able to commute onsite to Denver, CO.

  • Position Summary We are seeking a Systems Analyst who bridges the gap between complex technology and business strategy.

In this role, you will serve as the core technical resource for our Technical and Geospatial systems , partnering closely with business units to optimize enterprise applications, resolve high-impact issues, and deliver sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate is far more than a system administrator-you are a strategic problem solver, technical advisor, and collaborative partner who seamlessly connects systems, data, and people.

Key Responsibilities Application Ownership:

Manage, support, and continuously optimize critical technical and geospatial applications, including Aries, Execute, and WellMaster (Master Data Management) .

Business Partnership:

Collaborate directly with business users to troubleshoot application issues, uncover root causes, and build practical, long-term technical solutions.

Process Automation:

Design and implement advanced application configurations and scripts to automate workflows and drive departmental efficiencies.

Data & Analytics Innovation:

Leverage tools like Power BI, Alteryx, and Spotfire to enhance data collection, integration, processing, and reporting across the organization.

Project Leadership:

Lead IT and business initiatives from conception to completion using foundational project management principles.

Training & Mentorship:

Act as a trusted subject matter expert by conducting hands-on user training, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions across various company locations.

Technical Documentation:

Author and maintain comprehensive documentation, system procedures, workflows, and standard operating materials.

Technical Skills & Qualifications Core Technical Knowledge Infrastructure:

Strong grasp of network architecture, servers, databases, and software/hardware configurations.

Security:

Solid understanding of SSO, authentication, and enterprise security protocols.

Coding & Scripting:

Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, Python, Java, C++, or C# ).

Data Analytics:

Hands-on experience with data visualization and ETL tools ( Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire ).

Workload Automation:

Experience with ActiveBatch or similar enterprise job schedulers.

Education & Experience Experience:

Minimum of 3+ years of directly related systems analysis experience.

Education:

An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field is preferred.
