Job Description
- This is a 6 month contract to start onsite 5x a week in New Haven.
THIS PERSON NEEDS A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN IT
- Description Coordinate, install and maintain the efficient and effective functioning of the hardware, software, and network systems for a department/University.
Position Focus:
1) Provide technical planning and computer support for faculty, staff, and students in multi-platform (Windows, Mac, and Linux (if applicable)) and computationally intensive environments. 2) Coordinate service with IT professionals from other units. 3) Prepare documentation (procedural, planning, team information, end user) to support functions specific to departments. 4) Work closely with vendors and technical owners of applications to securely plan, deploy, and troubleshoot new or upgraded functions. Maintain list of key support contacts for each non-standard software or hardware device. 5) Coordinate with departments during moves, renovation projects, and required upgrades to ensure technology interruptions are minimal. Skills windows, linux, systems engineering Additional Skills & Qualifications Developed analytical and problem-solving skills Developed interpersonal, written, communications and organizational skills Working knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software, and equipment Demonstrated team performance skills, customer service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor Prepare documentation (procedural, planning, informational), to support non-standard unit functions and provide instruction, cross-departmental peer level training. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Haven, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
