Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of consistent and reliable system configurations Possess a solid understanding of configuration management principles and a developing skillset in configuration identification, control, and auditing Assist in the development and implementation of configuration management plans and procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards Participate in configuration audits, analyzing configuration data, and contributing to the identification of areas for improvement Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, effectively communicating configuration information and supporting the integration of configuration management processes into the development lifecycle They support configuration management databases (CMDB), version control systems, and change management processes
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Four (4) years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor's degree Two (2) or more years of Software or Information Technology Configuration Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC). Experience with scripting or automation tools. Relevant configuration management certifications (e.g., CMII). ITIL, CompTIA Security+ or similar security certification. Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active Secret clearance Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
