Configuration Management Specialist at Serco in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Position Description & Qualifications The Army PPB BOS program is seeking a CM Specialist to deliver cloud-based configuration management, DevSecOps, and release engineering activities to support the enterprise systems. Serco supports the US Army as the prime for PPB BBOS and consists of multiple managed cloud environments and numerous hosted data, applications, and processes that enable Army Planning, Programming and Budgeting (PPB) processes to develop the Army Future Years Defense Program (FYDP). Our team performs administration, maintenance, and improvement of IT systems that collect POM, Budget Estimate Submission (BES) and President's Budget resources data deemed necessary to accomplish the Department's mission. In this role, you will: + Support applications and systems operating within AWS GovCloud and Commercial Cloud environments/ + Be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing software configuration management tools and processes that support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and commercial-off-the-shelf software. + Perform configuration management, DevSecOps, and release engineering activities to ensure builds are created and delivered to test, training, and production environments; + Ensure software operating parameters are documented; deployments comply with established configuration management standards; and solutions remain logistically sustainable. + Design, develop, automate, and maintain build and deployment pipelines, including container-based deployments, while managing tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, and Atlassian applications. + Additional responsibilities include: + Automating build and deployment processes + Troubleshooting issues in collaboration with development teams + Providing basic system administration support in development and test environments + Designing and implementing procedures that support software development and use + Developing configuration standards + Training developers on configuration management tools + Ensuring configuration management processes are consistently followed for all deployments. To be successful in this role, you will have: + A Bachelors degree + An active secret clearance + 5 years of professional experience supporting software development, configuration management, DevSecOps, or release engineering in Linux-based or cloud-hosted environments + Understanding of cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps automa
