Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Workday Administrator is responsible for supporting the implementation, upkeep, and daily operation of the Authority's Workday platform. This position plays an integral role on the Workday project team, working closely with technical and functional partners to assist with system design, configuration activities, testing cycles, and deployment efforts. The Administrator helps maintain a secure, scalable, and reliable Business Administration Services environment that aligns with organizational objectives.
KEY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS 1.
Build comprehensive expertise in Workday modules - such as reporting, integrations, and security - to translate business requirements into effective system configurations. 2. Serve as a key system steward after go live, handling day to day administration, system performance monitoring, and ongoing process refinements. 3. Contribute to configuration work across multiple Workday areas as part of the implementation team. 4. Work with functional leaders to interpret business needs and guide corresponding configuration decisions within Workday. 5. Assist in designing, validating, and maintaining Workday security structures, including roles, domains, and business process security. 6. Participate in all levels of testing - unit, integration, and UAT - executing scripts, documenting results, and supporting defect resolution. 7. Support data conversion activities by helping validate, cleanse, and reconcile data during migration phases. 8. Aid in creating reports, dashboards, and analytics to meet enterprise and operational reporting needs. 9. Work closely with vendors and implementation partners to troubleshoot issues and support solution approaches. 10. Help produce and maintain technical and operational documentation related to configuration and system processes. 11. Build a strong foundational understanding across Workday, enabling long-term ownership of system functionality. 12. Oversee routine administrative tasks, including system monitoring and user support. 13. Manage and maintain security permissions, ensuring appropriate access control throughout the environment. 14. Track and resolve system-related inquiries and service tickets, coordinating with Workday support when escalation is needed. 15. Act as the primary point of contact for Workday-related updates, communication, and issue escalation. 16. Support system version updates and releases, including planning, testing, and validation activities. 17. Assist with audits and data quality checks to ensure system integrity and regulatory compliance. 18. Perform regression testing for enhancements, updates, and defect fixes. 19. Coordinate with technical and functional partners to implement system changes and improvements. 20. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance user experience, and improve system performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline. 2. At least two years of experience in system or application administration, particularly supporting HR or Finance information systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Workday HCM Pro certification would be ideal. 4. Experience managing Workday updates, releases, and general system administration tasks; understanding of HR processes and HRIS concepts. 5. Familiarity with implementation methodologies, testing processes, and validation activities. 6. Knowledge of security frameworks and access control principles. 7. Experience in configuring business processes, tracking issues, and resolving system-related problems.
