Military & Commercial Fasteners in York has an opportunity for a student looking to break into the IT industry! We are looking for a part-time (20 hours a week) intern. You can pick your hours, between 6am and 5pm M-F at a max of 20 per week. For the right candidate this could turn into a full-time opportunity upon graduation! IT Internship -
Internship TracksERP InternThe ERP Intern will work closely with our ERP Specialist, gaining practical experience supporting, optimizing, and improving the organization's ERP environment.
Depending on the selected internship track, familiarity with some of the following areas would be beneficial: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, mobile devices, and modern operating systems Diagnosing and resolving common hardware and software issues Understanding basic networking concepts and cybersecurity practices Troubleshooting and documenting technical issues Providing customer support and communicating effectively with end users Understanding scripting, automation, cloud technologies, virtualization, and multi-OS deployments Supporting remote and hybrid workers through remote-access and device-management tools Understanding databases, business applications, workflows, or ERP systems Why This Internship? MCF has recently made a significant investment in its IT infrastructure and technology program. As a result, the selected student will have the opportunity to gain meaningful, real-world exposure to modern technology and participate in projects that go beyond typical entry-level IT responsibilities.
Whether selected for the ERP or Network & Systems track, the intern will work alongside experienced IT professionals, contribute to active projects, develop practical technical skills, and gain insight into how technology supports the organization's day-to-day operations and long-term goals.
ERP or Network & Systems PAY:
$15-$20/hour As an IT Intern, the student will work closely with experienced members of our IT team and will be placed in one of two areas of focus: ERP or Network & Systems. In either track, the intern will gain hands-on experience while contributing to current IT projects and initiatives.Internship TracksERP InternThe ERP Intern will work closely with our ERP Specialist, gaining practical experience supporting, optimizing, and improving the organization's ERP environment.
Projects and responsibilities may include:
Supporting ERP optimization and improvement initiatives Assisting with troubleshooting and documenting ERP-related issues Helping coordinate system updates, testing, and implementation activities Supporting end-user training and documentation Learning how business processes and technology work together within an ERP environment Assisting with data, reporting, workflow, and system configuration tasks Network & Systems InternThe Network & Systems Intern will work closely with our Network/Systems Administrator, gaining hands-on experience with infrastructure, end-user technology, networking, and cybersecurity initiatives.Projects and responsibilities may include:
Supporting helpdesk modernization efforts Assisting with the VoIP migration to Microsoft Teams Supporting network stability and infrastructure projects Assisting with computer, device, and operating system deployment and maintenance Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues Supporting remote and hybrid workers through remote-access and device-management tools Learning about cybersecurity practices and infrastructure management Shadowing the creation of a CMMC environment from start to finish Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a student with a foundational understanding of information technology, particularly concepts covered by CompTIA A+ or higher-level certifications. Certification is not required.
