Department/Position Description:
The IT Assurance team plays a critical role in helping Ahold Delhaize USA manage risk and strengthen internal controls across financial, operational, and technology environments. The team partners with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate processes, identify risks, and support a strong control environment that enables the organization to operate effectively and securely. Through collaboration with teams across Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Merchandising Services, Information Technology, and other business functions, the IT Assurance team helps drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. The IT Assurance Intern will gain hands-on experience in risk management, internal controls, and assurance practices while supporting the team in the following areas: Assess the design and effectiveness of IT and business process controls through testing, analysis, and documentation. Analyze data to identify control deficiencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Support assurance activities by validating control design and operating effectiveness. Collaborate with business partners to evaluate and strengthen internal control processes. Assist in identifying control gaps and developing practical recommendations to enhance the overall control environment. Participate in projects and engagements both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Gain exposure to key business risks, emerging technology-related risks, and assurance practices within a large, complex organization. Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced risk and controls professionals while developing technical and professional skills
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Operations Management, or related field.
