In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing Cityworks solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Your expertise will drive system integration, troubleshoot technical issues, and support enterprise-wide application deployment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical prowess in systems engineering, software development, and business analysis to deliver innovative solutions that meet organizational needs. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective Cityworks configurations and customizations. Design scalable system architectures incorporating service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture, and enterprise solutions implementation principles. Develop, test, and deploy software components using languages such as JavaScript, C#, SQL, and scripting tools; ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure. Manage database systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance through load balancing, system hardening, and security practices. Implement system troubleshooting support by diagnosing issues related to system design, configuration management, network connectivity (VPN, firewall), and operating systems (Windows, Linux). Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker/Kubernetes for agile application development cycles. Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage information security protocols to safeguard cloud environments (Azure), virtualization platforms (VMware), and enterprise applications. Facilitate requirements analysis sessions to gather detailed specifications for software development projects involving APIs (RESTful API, Web services), microservices architecture, and system hardening. Requirements Proven experience with Cityworks or similar GIS-based asset management systems; familiarity with enterprise solutions implementation is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), computer networking concepts (DNS, DHCP), and system administration practices. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Java, Python or Ruby on Rails; experience with scripting languages like Bash or Shell Scripting is a plus. Hands-on experience with database systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL; understanding of NoSQL databases is advantageous. Familiarity with modern DevOps practices including version control (Git), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and system automation tools. Ability to perform requirements analysis and translate business needs into technical solutions while maintaining clear cross-functional communication. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as threat intelligence, vulnerability management, system hardening, cloud security measures (Azure), and information security best practices. Experience working within Agile development frameworks; strong problem-solving skills for technical troubleshooting support across diverse IT environments.
