Job Description

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local government agencies. PURVIS is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our growing technical team. We have an immediate opening for a Management Specialist to support a large-scale U.S. Navy product development program by providing Configuration Management (CM) and Requirements Management support to engineering teams throughout the system development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to innovative technology solutions. This position offers the opportunity to grow into an independent technical role supporting engineering reviews, configuration management activities, and requirements management with increasing responsibility. \n The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include: Support CM activities by researching and maintaining configuration-controlled data within CMPro, including drawings, parts lists, technical documentation, and product baselines. Maintain requirements within the software management systems by creating, updating, organizing, and tracing system, subsystem, and software requirements while ensuring complete end-to-end traceability. Conduct configuration and requirements research to support engineering change proposals (ECPs), MBPS/PDM initiatives, technical reviews, and engineering decision-making by providing accurate technical data and reports. Partner with Systems Engineers and Configuration Managers to maintain technical baselines, support engineering change activities, and ensure accurate traceability between system requirements and configuration-controlled technical data. Generate reports, traceability matrices, and configuration documentation to support design reviews, audits, testing activities, and customer deliverables. Collaborate with Configuration Management, Systems Engineering and project stakeholders by participating in technical meetings, tracking action items, resolving configuration and requirements discrepancies, and supporting continuous process improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with CMPro. Experience supporting Navy or DoD engineering programs, preferred Experience with configuration management principles, preferred .
