Information Technology Clerk

•Day-to-Day Substitute

The Portsmouth School Department is seeking a part-time Information Technology Clerk to provide day-to-day substitute support for the IT Department. The position will assist with routine IT operations, clerical tasks, and special projects as directed by IT Department staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with inventory, organization, and tracking of IT equipment.

Clean and maintain computer systems and related equipment.

Assist with troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.

Move, install, and configure computers, peripherals, and related equipment and software.

Perform basic clerical duties, including data entry, filing, recordkeeping, preparing documents, and organizing information.

Assist with maintaining IT records, inventory lists, and documentation.

Assist with IT projects and other tasks as assigned by IT Department staff.

Perform other related duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Introductory-level IT and clerical skills; prior experience is helpful but not required.

Ability to learn quickly and apply new skills in the workplace.

Ability to follow directions and work effectively with IT Department staff.

Ability to safely move and handle computer equipment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

This is a part-time, day-to-day substitute position with an anticipated need of approximately six weeks. The schedule and hours may vary based on departmental needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong work ethic, good communication comprehension and skills, desire to learn about computers and networking, ability to take direction, self-motivated, Basic computer hardware and networking knowledge, reliable and punctual ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs

Director of Technology.
