Job Description

From the beginning, students are entrusted with specific responsibilities, ensuring they play a significant role in their learning journey. As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team. ResponsibilitiesThe student will be exposed to new product content, involved in projects, and engage in collaborative department work. Candidates will support the launch and change coordinators with activities to verify the bill of material and demand logic changes for vehicle production. We will develop the student to lead their own process improvement projects. Activities will focus on further development and optimizing of data analytical systems to improve processes and reporting and direct support of the team steering new integration levels into launch and series product.

Assignment Qualifications:

Majors:
Pursuing a BS or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, MIS (Management Information Systems), Computer Science or other relevant degrees.

Skills
  • MS Excel and Office Suite knowledge
  • Strong computer aptitude (ability to learn BMW Group systems
  • Project Management
  • Planning and Organizational skills; able to manage many projects and responsibilities in a structured manner
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
  • VBA (or Python) and JAVA skills preferred
  • Knowledge or experience of manufacturing processes and workflows preferred
  • German language is a plus Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.
0 (not just in major). Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application. Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.

Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
