Broad Function The Project Controls Analyst is responsible for monitoring and managing project performance, schedules and budgets to ensure successful project delivery by analyzing data, tracking progress, and proving insights to project managers and stakeholders. Essential Functions Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock's B safe and B best culture in all aspects of the business Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support project controls activities. Collect and analyze data related to project / operations' costs Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction measures Monitor project financials and conduct data analysis to control budgets Work with management to understand and control costs Communicate overages in adherence to client objectives Analyze project data and key performance indicators (KPIs) using Power BI to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data and ensure its accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Design and implement data models and transformations in Power BI to optimize data analysis and reporting capabilities. Create automated data refresh schedules and ensure timely delivery of updated reports and dashboards to stakeholders. Provide expertise and guidance on Power BI best practices, data visualization techniques, and data governance standards. Assist in the development and implementation of project controls processes and procedures. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and prepare customized reports as requested by project managers and stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within project controls using Power BI. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Power BI functionality and incorporate relevant features into project controls reporting. Working Conditions Working indoors in a field office environment Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment as necessary. Travel as required Skills & Abilities Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Sound business and financial acumen, understanding implications of decisions on profitability and revenue Strong analytical skills and ability to draw accurate conclusions from data Strong attention to detail and reliability of output Ability to work independently and make quick and sound decisions Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software Proficient in Power BI, including creating reports, dashboards, and visualization Education & Experience 1 to 3 years of direct Project Controls experience or equivalent experience in data and process management. Knowledge of scheduling software, preferred Experience in data modeling and transformation techniques within Power BI. Knowledge of data visualization best practices and ability to effectively communicate insights. Knowledge in SAP Business One an asset Knowledge in SQL is an asset Knowledge in Python is an asset
