Job Description The Measurement and Production Accounting System Analyst serves as the primary liaison between Asset business units and the Information Technology (IT) department, with a strong focus on supporting and optimizing the organization's measurement, production accounting, scheduling, and commercial systems, including Quorum TIPS and W Energy applications.
In this role, the analyst partners closely with Measurement, Accounting, Scheduling, Operations, and Commercial teams to understand business needs, translate them into functional and technical requirements, and ensure technology solutions support operational objectives. The analyst is responsible for managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle, supporting system enhancements, troubleshooting application issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the measurement and accounting technology portfolio.
This position acts as the primary IT point of contact for users of Quorum TIPS, W Energy, FlowCal, and related midstream applications, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and alignment with business processes. The analyst coordinates user access, facilitates training, supports system implementations and upgrades, and works closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance functionality.
The analyst oversees projects from conception through implementation, manages scope and stakeholder expectations, and ensures successful delivery of IT services across multiple Assets. Additionally, this individual evaluates system performance, gathers user feedback, identifies optimization opportunities, and helps maximize the business value derived from measurement, accounting, and scheduling technologies.
Candidates must be willing to work onsite five days per week in Houston, TX.
Pay Rate:
$65-$70/hour Skills and Requirements 3-5+ years of experience supporting Quorum TIPS, W Energy, FlowCal, or similar Oil & Gas measurement, production accounting, scheduling, or commercial systems.
Strong understanding of gas measurement, production accounting, allocation, scheduling, settlement, and midstream business processes.
Experience serving as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Application Support Analyst, or similar role within Oil & Gas.
Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical solutions.
Experience troubleshooting application issues, investigating data discrepancies, and supporting end users.
Knowledge of cloud-based application environments and system integrations.
Strong SQL and reporting experience.
