The Company also has an Accounting and IT presence in Oklahoma City, OK. We are focused on the acquisition, development, exploration, and exploitation of unconventional, onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Permian Basin in West Texas. The IT Intern will own an assigned summer project while working directly on business functions such as application development, reporting and analytics, data integration, infrastructure and desktop management, and cyber security.
Duration:
Approximately 12 weeks (May - August 2027)
Job Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to: Work on an assigned, individual IT project throughout the summer, culminating in a presentation of the completed project to Diamondback's executive team Develop IT skills under the supervision and guidance of an assigned, experienced mentor Work directly with teams across IT and other disciplines to experience what working in an Oil & Gas Exploration and Production company is like Participate in release management activities and attend daily stand-up calls with various IT teams Review key IT controls for cyber security and SOX compliance Interface with other departments to understand their usage of IT systems and processes to drive key business outcomes Provide quality compliance and administrative support to the department Participate in intern events and philanthropic endeavors that support the Oklahoma City community
Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills Must be willing to work in Oklahoma City, OK for the duration of the internship Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semester
Preferred Qualifications:
