04/29/2026 POSITION SUMMARY The Division Data & Systems Analyst supports the effective operation and optimization of division-wide data systems by managing, analyzing, and reporting data to support instructional, operational, and strategic decision making. This role ensures data accuracy, system reliability, and compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements while providing technical analysis, development, user support, and training to meet the division's educational and operational objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as one of the primary technical support resources for the division's Student Information System (SIS), ensuring accurate system configuration, data integrity, performance, and effective end user utilization. Support and assist with the integration of data from other enterprise systems, including finance, human resources, assessment, and operational platforms. Provide division level system analysis and support to ensure proper implementation, configuration, and alignment with operational and business requirements. Deliver technical expertise in data retrieval, validation, transformation, storage, and secure handling of student and organizational data. Collaborate with software vendors, state agencies, and internal departments to troubleshoot system issues, resolve defects, and optimize data workflows and integrations. Manage, analyze, validate, and reconcile data required for local, state, and federal reporting submissions. Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, deadlines, and data quality standards. Design, develop, maintain, and document data reports, dashboards, and extracts to support instructional initiatives, operational needs, and strategic decision making. Provide helpdesk and tiered technical support for data related system issues and reporting requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Maintain functional knowledge of division programs, initiatives, and business processes to support effective system analysis and solutions. Develop and deliver technical documentation, user guides, and training for staff on data systems, reporting tools, and data governance best practices. Stay current with emerging technologies, development methodologies, and industry best practices relevant to systems analysis, programming, and educational technology. Apply industry best practices for data management, security, and privacy, ensuring compliance with FERPA and other applicable regulations. Continuously evaluate existing systems, data processes, and reporting methods; recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Perform additional technical and analytical duties as assigned to support division goals and operational needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred, with emphasis in education, business, computer science, mathematics, or statistics. Three years of professional experience, with preference for experience in the field of education. Experience managing and analyzing data with statistical programs. Experience in K-12 education, either as an educator or other professional, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of the laws that govern students' state and federal rights. Excellent time management skills, organizational skills with attention to detail, and ability to prioritize. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate, both in writing and orally, technical information in a way that is understandable to people without technical training. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of staff, various departments, and external agencies. Ability to provide statistically sound reports to meet division and state requirements, using appropriate tools. Ability to use discretion, handle sensitive and confidential information, while maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct.
