Job Description To conduct business requirements reviews, technical systems specifications and systems process analysis. To develop detailed selection evaluation criteria. To analyze and re-engineer business processes using industry standard tools and methods with understanding of the technical and business environments. To partner with business process experts to learn and understand problems with software. To develop innovative IT solutions for risky and demanding business situations Key Duties & Responsibilities 1. Oversees and manages the reviews of IT contract agreements originating both within HSIS and outside HSIS, and ensures that IT, Security, Privacy, and business criteria (for HSIS agreements) are at the highest possible standard. 2. Serves as a liaison between HSIS, Office of Legal Counsel and Purchasing to ensure the organization's needs, including expedited processes, are effectively addressed. 3. As needed, serves as an escalation point for staff negotiating contracts and works with Vendors to ensure that any IT-related concerns are met. 4. Provides technical and topical expertise, information, training, and problem resolution for IT contract-related activities across the enterprise. 5. Periodically reviews processes for efficiencies and works with the director to implement process improvements as needed. 6. Provides weekly status reports to executive leadership (CIO and designees) on the status of the contract reviews. 7. Mentors and oversees other staff assigned to contract reviews to ensure that the standards for HSIS and UAB Medicine overall are applied skillfully to the contract review and negotiations. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of related IT experience and three (3) years of legal contract experience required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
