Account Services Representative - Middle Market, Consultant - High Tech Blue Shield of CA United States, California, Oakland 601 12th Street (Show on map) Aug 05, 2026 Your Role The Middle Markets Sales team is responsible for retaining existing membership and driving new business growth within the medium-to-large employer segment. The Account Service Representative, Consultant reports to the Senior Service Manager and plays a role in supporting a portfolio of fast growing, high visibility technology employer groups. In this role, the Account Service Consultant acts as a strategic service partner, proactively anticipating client needs, navigating, and resolving complex issues with speed, and safeguarding the overall client experience. You will work collaboratively with other team members to assist employers, and their employees navigate their healthcare needs. Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires 7 years of prior relevant experience
Requires a CA Accident & Health or Sickness and Life License or the ability to obtain the license within 90 days of hire date
Requires experience supporting and servicing technology, AI, or similarly fast paced industries
Requires advanced proficiency with digital communication tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, recording and editing presentations, Microsoft Office Suite, Copilot, Calendly, Vimeo, and Salesforce)
Requires a working knowledge of the hightech (AI) industry, including current trends, emerging technologies, business priorities, workforce needs, and culture, and apply this knowledge to develop effective solutions for clients and brokers
Working knowledge of health plan operations, benefits administration, claims processing HRIS platforms and the ability to engage credibly with HR, Finance, and executive level client and broker stakeholders
