Job Summary We are seeking a Senior IT Consultant for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who enjoys leading infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and technology transformation initiatives in a collaborative, business-focused environment. The Senior IT Consultant will partner with leadership and technical teams to assess current systems, recommend strategic improvements, and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions. This opportunity offers the chance to influence IT strategy, lead meaningful enterprise projects, mentor technical staff, and contribute to a positive team culture built on collaboration, continuous improvement, and practical problem solving. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and operational processes to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Design, implement, and optimize enterprise technology solutions across cloud, infrastructure, virtualization, cybersecurity, and systems environments.
  • Lead cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology transformation projects.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, technical escalation support, and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop IT policies, procedures, documentation, cybersecurity best practices, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, third-party providers, contracts, and technology service delivery expectations. Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year.

    Santa Barbara, CA. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Lead enterprise infrastructure, cloud migration, cybersecurity, and systems implementation projects.
  • Assess current IT environments and recommend scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology improvements.
  • Manage technical project execution, stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, and executive reporting.
  • Provide senior-level technical escalation support and mentor technical teams.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience in infrastructure, networking, systems administration, or related technology environments.
  • Strong expertise with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with virtualization, cybersecurity, infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and enterprise technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of IT policies, procedures, cybersecurity best practices, compliance support, and risk assessment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, or AWS are preferred. Preferred Qualifications
  • Managed Service Provider experience.
  • Experience with strategic IT planning, budgeting, and technology roadmapping.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Advanced networking, firewall, endpoint security, and infrastructure security expertise.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise technology environments.
